Draft web designing

These are my website designs i prefer the top one because its more youthful, look fun and cool. Compared to the union jack back ground which would not appeal to the youths of today because they are not very patriotic, but i should test this theory by handing out questionnaires.

 I was inspired by the idea of the writing going across the screen and seeing things in the back ground.
that would be a simple but basically good ident.

I could have images, of what would apear on my tv channel, and put them at the back of my moving words.

On my new TV channel i was to represent the 13-21year olds arcoss the uk so it would start at 3.30 till 5.30. thats the time they mostly come home and sit in front of the tv looking to be intertained. I would need a funny but cool looking ident and website for interactivity and to catch up on their favourite shows on demand.

Clips like the one below are wierd but funny and get the audience involved any all sorts of ways.

I aim to intertain and get my auidence involved in the TV and online channel, in school (games and educational games and shows like the big bag theory) out side of schools/ collages ( games and questionaires on their favourite shows, interactive play online with other people, and many more fun things to do).

Four my A2 media coursework i have decided to chose question 9. To make a new TV channel together with an animated ident sequence for the channel and a news paper advertisement for the channel for promotion.

What is an ident?
An ident is a television identification symbol, or 'ident'for short, its the bit of video which tells you what channel you're on, played for few seconds before a programme commences. Also when it ends. On BBC 1, initially just called BBC, this started out, among other things, as a revolving globe , reinforcing the global nature of the BBC, that if nation shall not speak unto nation for whatever reason, then at least it could broadcast unto nation. And if it shall be broadcast into those homes lucky enough to have a TV, then those households being broadcast into should know what channel is being broadcast unto them. Hence the existence of the 'ident', telling you which channel you're on before a programme starts.

Here i have started looking at all the BBC's idents that they have had here are a few in the link i have posted. the ident would be the hardest thing so i should start it first and get he idea to form my website around it.

 Here are a few childish but funny MTV idents. i want my TV channel to be fun and appeal to the younger generations.

Now here i have looked at different ident from the BBC and the ITV news.

Below i have researched websites such as the BBC, MTV, SKY PORTS and E4. I need to research to find out what type of website i would want for my a NEW TV channel.
I need to determine;

• What genera
• what i would base it on
• How to structure
• Colour scheme
• Who my target audience are
• Will i specialise or be general
• If i would have roll over images, videos or scroll over images
• Have a personalisation button, to suit my target audiences needs.

Here are a few websites that i have analysed in detail.

BBC home page:

This pop up tab allows the viewers to personalise there weather, TV, and radio selections depending on where they live. This would be a great opportunity for me to get more involved with my target audience, so they feel catered for and respected, it would also mean they are more comfortable with the settings and it could become the social place to be if i make it just right.
